It all started with a Juice Stand...Fifty years ago, Lilly Pulitzer found herself bored and in Palm Beach. Since her dashing new hubbie owned nearly all the orange groves in Florida, she decided a juice stand would be just the thing. Friends would come by and chit-chat and it would be a way to meet new people. How fun! While Lilly was messing around with this, she got, well, messy. So she asked her seamstress to make her a loose shift that would hide the stains. Lilly being Lilly, she carefully chose the pattern and gave specific directions about how she wanted her dress to fit. Soon people started ordering dresses with their juice, and the rest is history!
